My research is focused on using Computer Vision and Deep Learning for cellular imaging to study the impact of neurodegenerative and viral diseases on the molecular machinery of the cell. I have developed label-efficient methods for high resolution 3D data, using self-supervised and semi-supervised learning, active learning, and vision foundation models. I'm currently exploring how vision-language pre-training can enable novel class discovery and open-world object detection in biomedical image analysis. My goal is to advance the state-of-the-art in Computer Vision and AI for healthcare and life sciences.
