openai/gpt-oss-120b · gpt-oss-120b works with OpenRouter + MCP servers, but not with locally hosted setup via LibreChat

Hi team,

I’m running into an issue with gpt-oss-120b when using it through LibreChat.

When I connect LibreChat with OpenRouter, the model works fine with MCP servers.

When I connect LibreChat to my locally hosted gpt-oss-120b, the model does not seem to work with MCP servers.

I’d like to ask:

Is there any configuration I might be missing on the local setup?

Are there known differences between how LibreChat integrates with OpenRouter vs. a self-hosted model that might affect MCP connections?

Any feedback or ideas for troubleshooting this would be appreciated.
